We are now diving into The DNA Spiral Red Level projects. This spiritual exercise program features 12 practical spiritual growth projects centered around 12 key disciplines that we want to learn to naturally incorporate into the rhythm of our lives. Pick up a DNA Spiral booklet today and look through the plan and prayerfully consider jumping into this exercise regimen along with a whole host of fellow Hillsiders.

Spiritual Formation

Intergenerational Adult Class

Target Audience: Everyone!

Time: Sundays at 9:30 a.m.

Room: Bergesen Hall

Focus: "Developing Our Friendship with Jesus"

Basic Text: John 15:12-17 plus supporting material from John 14 and 17.

We will investigate the meaning of our friendship with Jesus in terms of His choice of us, His love for us, and look at the issues of acceptance, affection, enjoyment and partership as aspects of our friendship with Him. We will also consider themes in our text such as obedience, love for our Christian brothers and sisters, prayer and fruit-bearing as aspects of our friendship relationship with Jesus. Besides considering a number of Scripture passages, we will meditate on many quotes from spiritual writers that highlight and illustrate the biblical teachings.

A special study guide will be given to each class member.
