Business & Administration
The Business & Administration Ministry covers a broad range of business activities, which can generally be categorized in one of three areas: Finance, Personnel or Facilities. Financial Management covers every aspect of overseeing and maintaining the financial health of the church; be it bill paying, budgeting, giving, insurance or anything in between. Personnel covers management of our administrative team and employee benefits. Facilities covers scheduling, set-up, repair and maintenance of the buildings, systems and grounds.
While paying bills and cleaning bathrooms may not seem like highly spiritual activities, the basic support that Business & Administration plays for the other ministry areas is critical to the overall functioning of the church. To that end, we invite you to consider some of the service opportunities that exist in this ministry area.

Council
The Council is an elected body of godly leaders chosen by the congregation to give oversight to the direction and the function of the church. On behalf of the congregation they carry fiduciary responsibility to ensure proper fiscal and stewardship processes. The Council is charged with guarding the overall direction of the church. They do this by listening to God and to the congregation, trusting and empowering the staff to initiate, lead, and implement direction, playing the role of both of encouragement and evaluation. It is the Council, representing the congregation, to whom the staff, under the management of the Senior Pastor, is ultimately accountable. In this kind of partnership the Holy Spirit leads Hillside Covenant Church forward.
Community Groups
One way Hillside Covenant Church serves the surrounding community is by providing meeting space for a variety of community groups. A full list of the groups, their purpose, meeting times and contact information is provided.
Covenant Trust Company
Covenant Trust Company is a branch of the Evangelical Covenant Church established to provide affordable estate planning services for the member churches of the ECC.
