Care Coordinator
The care coordinator helps people connect with the right resources both within and outside Hillside. All assistance is confidential and not limited to Hillside members. Contact Jane DeYoung
Stephen Ministers
Stephen ministers are trained members of the church who provide one-on-one Christian care and support to people in the congregation and in the community who are experiencing life difficulties. They listen, encourage, and pray with the individual every week – with complete confidentiality – for as long as the crisis or difficulty lasts. Meals Support

Greeters
Doesn't it feel good to be met by someone at the front door on Sunday mornings? A smile and a handshake are all it takes to be part of this ministry. We are looking for people to greet at the front and side doors at the 9:30 and/or 11:00 services for a month at a time, if possible. All you need to do is arrive 15 minutes before the service and stay at the doors for 5 minutes into the service to greet those running late. Contact Pete Goodrich
Feed My Sheep
Once a month, we collect vegetables and fruits for the Monument Crisis Center, and beans and rice for True Vine Ministries in Oakland. We also maintain an on-site food pantry of non-perishables to help families in our church. For more information or to help with this ministry Contact Gloria Sever
Senior Support Team
Through visits, cards, phone calls, and simple acts of service, this team makes sure our older members stay connected to the church family. They also check in to see if there are any specific needs that we can help them with. Contact Laurie Cullenward
James Fix-It Ministry
A network of men in the church with various handyman skills is ready to assist people with around-the-house needs. Single moms and widows are special persons of concern. If you have a need for the Fix-It team, or you want tohelp, please let us know. Contact Bob Timbers
Care in Small Groups
Our primary frontline of congregational care happens in small groups, where members care for one another, and the group leader helps make sure not one of the members gets overlooked. Alcohol and Other Substance Abuse Recovery
Terry Camp provides support and resources to those struggling with addiction. He also offers helpful information for the families. Contact Terry Camp
Health Partners
This is a group of nurses and other trained healthcare professionals who are available to guide people through confusing and complex health problems and interactions with hospitals, doctors, and insurance companies. To find out more, or to offer your services, Contact Sylvie Moisoff
Room at the Inn
This ministry provides care for families with members with disabilities. Services include mainstreaming on Sunday morning – whether in Sunday school classes or worship; times of respite for parents; advocacy for the disabled; and a resource/support group that meets monthly. Memorial Service Support
This is a team of people who work together to provide hospitality support to families for memorial services. For more information or to help with this ministry, please Contact Cathy Ziegler
Bereavement Cards and Resources
When anyone in the Hillside community loses an immediate family member, they receive a card from our senior pastor and their church family. They also receive a series of booklets, one a month for four months, that help a person understand and process their grief. For information, Contact Carol Carlson
