Small Groups

A variety of small group opportunities are available for those interested in connecting with a smaller community of believers. To join a small group or if you're interested in forming a new group, contact Jenny at jenny@hillsidecovenant.org or 988-0505.

Upcoming Gatherings and Trainings:

Small Group Leaders Meeting & Dessert: Mon., Sept. 13, 7:00-9:00 p.m., Student Center. We will look at our exciting plans for this fall regarding a combined program involving Jeff's sermons, Sunday Morning Adult Ed, Children's/Student Ministries, and available small group materials. Please let Gloria (gloria@hillsidecovenant.org or 934-1110, ext. 11) know by Sept. 7 whether or not you will be able to attend so we can plan for food and materials.

Bible in 90 Days

Join Hillside in reading through the entire Bible in 90 days, at the end of which we hope to have a clearer understanding of the value of looking at the big picture of the whole Bible, seeing Jesus as the centerpiece. There are a variety of ways to participate in this exciting journey we will be taking this fall. We will start on Oct. 10 and go through Jan. 5.

Using the reading schedule, you can:

- Read along in your own Bible (approximately 45 min./day)

- Purchase the "Bible in 90 Days" Bible (12 pages of reading/day)

- Listen daily to CD or MP3

- Free download at www.faithcomesbyhearing.com/free-audo-bible-download

- Use Phone App - YouVerson.com (Look for the Bible in 90 Das reading plan)

In addition to reading:

- Each week's sermon will prepare us for the coming week's reading

- Small group and Adult C.E. classes will discuss the reading accomplished the prior week.

- Check out our Blog starting in Oct. to find out what others are thinking about the reading.

Mentoring

"To accompany and encourage others to grow

to their God-given potential"

Mentoring is a relational experience in which one person empowers another by sharing his or her life, experience and God-given resources. A mentor nurtures an apprentice's personal development, faith and skill. If you are interested in participating in a mentor relationship, please contact Jenny Trees at 988-0505 or jenny@hillsidecovenant.org.

Silent Retreats

Three times a year we provide opportunities to join together in silence. Daylong retreats are held in private homes in the beginning of Fall and during Advent. A 24-hour retreat to prepare for Easter will be held at a location to be determined. It begins on Friday evening and lasts through Saturday. Discernment of Passions and Gifts

Opportunities to help discern passions and gifts are available throughout the year.
