Nursery through 5th Grade

Sunday Mornings:

8:00 am -No Children's Program

Sunday Morning Service - 9:30-10:40 a.m.

  • Infants in the Nursery.
  • Preschoolers in church-time.
  • 1st - 5th grade classes. Kids' Connection!
    1st – 5th grade Classes are combined 1st-2nd and 3rd-5th. The students meet in Kids’ Connection Hall. Parents are welcome to attend Adult CE classes or Worship Services.

Sunday Morning Service - 11:00 a.m.-12:10 p.m.

  • 1st - 5th grade classes. Kids' Connection!
    1st – 5th grade children attend the worship service for the first 15 minutes with their families and then will be dismissed to KIDS' Connection.
Preschool
• Toddlers through Kindergarteners have classes at the 9:30 & 11:00 services. Sunday morning church-time and Sunday School consist of individual Toddler, Two’s, Three’s, Pre-kindergarten and Kindergarten classes. We are using Gospel Light curriculum at 9:30 & 11:00 Sunday morning services. The 11:00 hour’s theme builds on the 9:30 hour. Each features a Bible story, related activity, and some free time for play. (Please pick up a complete explanation of our Preschool program available at either information area.)
Primary/Junior
• 9:30 Kids' Connection! Staying Connected to Jesus
Classes are combined 1st-2nd and 3rd-5th grades using Group curriculum. The students meet in Kids’ Connection Hall. Parents are welcome to attend Adult CE classes or Worship Services.
• 11:00 Kids' Connection! Staying Connected to Jesus
1st – 5th grade children attend the worship service for the first 15 minutes with their families and then will be dismissed to KIDS' Connection. We will use FaithWeaver curriculum. 1st – 5th grades meet in small grade level groups for Shepherd Connection Time and teaching.

Love: Loving Christ and encouraging relationships with each other and their community.

Encourage: Encouraging children to apply God's Word in their lives and build strong relationships with each other.  

 

Ministry Opportunities:

Preschool Cooperative Rotation:
We ask all preschool parents to serve on a cooperative preschool rotation once a month.   We also welcome others from high school age to grandparents...call us to sign up today!

Sunday Morning Staff:
We encourage team teaching and ask staff to serve for 9 months from September to June.

Volunteer Application Process:
At Hillside, we treasure and value highly the young people that God has placed in our care. To continue to ensure that our church is a safe place for them to grow emotionally, physically and spiritually, everyone who serves in a ministry of Hillside involving youth under the age of 18 must complete an application form and a background check.
