Alcoholics Anonymous

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem.  The only requirement for AA membership is a desire to stop drinking. 


Friday Evening, 7:00 - This group welcomes men and women.

Al-Anon Family Groups

Al-Anon Family Groups have one purpose, to help families and friends of alcoholics.

The Al-Anon Family Groups are a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics who share their experience, strength and hope in order to solve their common problems.  They practice the Twelve Steps by welcoming and giving comfort to families of alcoholics.

Meetings are available at Hillside Covenant Church on the following days:
* Monday nights, 7:00 to 9:30 - This group is intended for parents of alcoholics. 
* Wednesday mornings, 9:15 to 10:15 – Open to anyone in need (child care provided)
* Friday mornings, 9:30 to 11:00 - This group is open to anyone in need. (child care provided)   
* Saturday mid-day, 11:30 to 1:30 – This group is open to anyone in need.

Cub Scouts  

Chartered by Hillside Covenant Church, Cub Scout Pack 302 proudly serves 1st through 5th grade boys in the Parkmead community.  Celebrating its centennial in 2010, Scouting helps youth develop academic skills, self-confidence, ethics, leadership skills, and citizenship skills that influence their adult lives.  More information about Scouting is available at and about Pack 302 from Scott Wilson, Committee Chair, at (925) 876-5480.

Food Addicts

FA is a program of recovery based on the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous.  It is a fellowship of individuals who, through shared experience and  mutual support, are recovering from food addition.   FA members are men and women of all ages who are able to find freedom from obsession with food and maintain normal weights over many years. There are no dues, fees, or weigh-ins at FA meetings. This meeting is on Saturdays at 7:30 am and offers childcare. For more information, contact Pamela at (925) 229-3239.

Co-Dependents Anonymous  

CoDA is a fellowship of men and women whose common purpose is to develop healthy relationships.  Meetings are held:

  • Tuesday mornings, 9:15 to 10:15
  • Friday mornings, 9:30 to 10:30

The Mt. Diablo Porcelain Art Association

The Mt. Diablo Porcelain Art Association meets at the church on the second Friday of the month from 10:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. September through May. We are a non-profit group dedicated to the appreciation and enrichment of the fine art of painting on porcelain. Come meet other people interested in the art of china painting. Mt. Diablo is part of The World Organization of China Painters headquartered in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. We invite you to join us and see what the passion for painting on china is all about.
