Day 1 - 2026

The DR Team arrived safely

We arrived in Santo Domingo at noon on Monday and though the flight was a short one from Miami(2hrs), the whole journey started from San Francisco on Sunday morning with an overnight stay in Miami. We were received by the director of Del Camino Connection, Tom Yaccino, one of our partners here in the Dominican Republic.

After thanking God for journey mercies, we had a seaside lunch at D’Luis restaurant overlooking the Caribbean Sea and went for a walk around the colonial city which is rich with historical sites and monuments about the Dominican Republic. It’s been a long trip from California to Santo Domingo, but we are so grateful to God for bringing us here safe and sound. We are so excited to be here, and we look forward to embarking on our mission starting with our trip to the Compassion Project on Tuesday, 20th of January 2026.
