Day 2 - 2026

Day 2 in the Dominican Republic was filled with joy and connection as we spent time with the children enjoying arts and crafts, laughter, and creativity. Being able to slow down, create together, and simply be present with them was a meaningful way to build relationships and share God’s love.

We also witnessed exciting growth in the ministries. The music academy is expanding beyond keyboard, piano, and guitar to include new instruments starting in February with trumpets, saxophones, and percussion. The children’s ministry has also launched a new infant program, allowing them to support families and disciple children from the very beginning. A special highlight was home visits between Compassion sponsors and some of their sponsored children and their families, a powerful reminder of the impact of these relationships. We ended the day celebrating Ernesto’s birthday and seeing progress on the new church, including construction of the second level.
