Day 6 - 2026

Day 6 began with our team spending the morning with the children at the project. On Saturdays, students who attend school during the week come once a week for the project program, and the number of children exceeded what we anticipated. We welcomed about 40 elementary aged children under 8 years old and around 80 middle and high school students. We did crafts with the younger children, while the middle and high school students participated in a drawing session with Ola. We were also encouraged to learn that an onsite psychologist is available on Saturdays to support students who may be experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges.

After our time at the project, we regrouped and prepared for a special fun day with Compassion sponsored children, their families, and their sponsors. At the Seminario Nazareno Dominicano, the afternoon was filled with games, lots of laughter, and time in the pool splashing, swimming, and cooling off together in the Dominican sun. Watching sponsored children spend time with their sponsors and receive gifts was a beautiful reminder of the power of presence, relationship, and generosity. We are deeply grateful to witness how God continues to work through this ministry , relationships, and moments of shared joy.
