Day 5 - 2026

Day 5 - January 23

Today was a beautiful day of fun and relaxation for us here in the DR, but was particularly relaxing for those who serve daily @idn_visioncelestial @compassion projects.

We met up with 22 of their workers for a lovely countryside getaway at Villa Lola in Pedro Brand where we were greeted by lush gardens, interesting fountains, pools and a beautiful space to be together. Together Hillsiders and Vision Celestial staff played games; UNO, Chess, Dominoes and jenga-no interpreters needed! There was beautiful music filling the space and even a little dancing.

After a delicious lunch, many headed for the pools and more games. Not only did those in the pool get soaked, but God provided a downpour of rain for all to enjoy.

The afternoon concluded with birthday celebrations for both Ernesto and Altagracia. “Happy Birthday” was sung in both English and Spanish. Then Hillsiders presented gifts to the Vision Celestial staff in appreciation for all they do. Hugs and smiles were abundant.

Praise be to God for this special day. We look forward to Fun Day with the Compassion sponsored kids tomorrow. Continue to keep us in your prayers.
